Board of Directors Secretary

Gloria worked in the field of public relations, then civic engagement, then social justice education, until her retirement this past June. She became a member of USH nine years ago and shortly after joining, served on the USH board as the chair of social justice for two years. She now serves as the USH Board secretary. At USH, she has facilitated race dialogues and storytelling sessions, along with both Beloved Conversations, and a Zoom series, The 1619 Project podcast, about the history of racism in the U.S. She enjoys gardening, reading, attending theatre, the beach, and roaming NYC streets. Otherwise, she roams around her house, still trying to figure out what retirees are supposed to be doing with all this time.
