Dana Donovan

President of the USH Board of Directors

Dana Donovan first stepped foot in USH in the fall of 2017 for the purpose of renting space for meetings of his Wiccan-Pagan Coven. After being impressed and taken aback by the welcoming and acceptance he felt at USH, he felt that he had to find out more about these UUs. With prodding from his granddaughter, Aaliyah, he became a full member by the following spring and has continued to grow closer to this community ever since.

Dana has been on a life long spiritual journey. Raised as a Catholic, after college he lived for 7 years in a Hutterian Bruderhof community. After leaving there he spent a couple years in a small evangelical church and then a few years in a Lutheran church. His life changed a lot when he became a practicing pagan 25 years ago. And then came USH! Dana spent the last 45 years as a professional woodworker, specializing in designing and building staircases throughout New England and New York. His greatest joy though is his 9 children, 24 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
